Spiritual Bypassing

Spiritual bypassing is when someone chronically uses spirituality to avoid dealing with real-life emotions, pain, or responsibility.
Not to grow… but to escape.
Spiritual terms, ideas or the aesthetic is not supposed to replace actual healing. Leaning into those things can only support it.
Spiritual Bypassing is avoidance dressed up as enlightenment.
Cut it Out!
It’s completely counter active to your healing journey and the purpose of healing. Get to the root of why you are responding in certain ways…prayer and affirmations without action? Huh? Abruptly cutting people off to “protect your peace”; as a way to avoid conflict or instead of using your voice to set boundaries…staying in harmful/disrespectful situations because you are being tested? Nah! Being positive to the point of delusion when there is clear negativity in spaces…labeling anger, fear, anxiety and depression as low vibrational emotions instead of getting to the root of why those feelings exist in your body?
Healing Means:
* feeling your emotions
* addressing your wounds
* changing behaviors or patterns
And that takes:
* accountability
* honesty
* emotional vulnerability
